Usui Reiki is a way of life. Practitioners must follow their own personal devotional practice in order to be effective in performing treatments with others. This opens up Reiki practitioners to the fine frequencies of energy that appear in everything in our everyday lives, but which we don’t usually take any notice of.
Practitioners like me are, in fact, not the healers; we’re the channel for the healing system. It is our job to find that deep awareness which enables a recipient to also become aware during that time. A treatment may help you to relax deeply, and it is in this deep state of relaxation that the body is better able to heal and rejuvenate.
Reiki aims to work on the four levels of healing; these are called the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states. It is a tradition that is open to any belief system and benefits may include deep relaxation and the promotion of a calm peaceful sense of wellbeing.
Some people might get feelings of heat, tingling sensations. euphoria and a feeling of mild excitement. Others briefly feel tired or exhausted, which soon passes. Any such feelings are all part of you spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically, and are all part of the healing response!
Angelic Reiki works in a similar way to any other Reiki, but because you’re working within the angelic spiritual realm, you actually call upon the divine angelic system for help; calling upon the likes of the Archangel Michael, Gabriel, Metatron, the Goddess, Isis and others to help channel that energy through.
Some say that they don’t believe in the angels, that it’s a system founded in religious beliefs. Reiki, actually, doesn’t have a religion – you work within divinity. So you’re asking to become a channel for the angelic realm to work through you to give the divine energy.
It can be quite intense! And also the feedback you get from it could be more enhanced and spiritual. By working with my clients’ higher selves we can create a positive, loving light balance within the whole system and enhance their general well-being.
